Glucosamine is a naturally occurring compound for the body's production of joint lubricants and shock absorbers necessary to maintain healthy cartilage and joint function. Glucosamine hydrochloride is a prodrug for glucosamine that is well absorbed after oral administration and diffuses into several tissues, including bones and articular cartilages. The active ingredient in the treatment of osteoarthritis is glucosamine. The hydrochloride acid salt is the delivery vehicle. Once it has entered the stomach, after oral administration the salt's job is done and it is the glucosamine that is released to perform its function.Data supports Glucosamine as the first anti-osteoarthritic drug that treats both sign and symptoms of osteoarthritis & modifies disease progression. It is as effective as NSAIDs with significantly better tolerability and clinical compliances.


Dosage And Administration of Reflon 500 mg
