What Is Eyedew 0.5%+0.9% Indications and Uses?

This combination sterile eye drops is indicated for the relief of symptoms due to dryness of the eye.

Pharmacology (Source, Chemical and Physical Composition) Of Eyedew 0.5%+0.9%

The combination of Carboxymethylcellulose Sodium and Glycerin relieves the symptoms of dry eye in two ways. Firstly it provides lubricating and hydrating protective shields on the ocular surface of the eye and then it works below the tear film to provide protection to the cornea.

Dosage And Administration of Eyedew 0.5%+0.9%

Instill 1 drop in the affected eyes as needed. Or as directed by the physician. It can be used in children.

Drug Interactions of Eyedew 0.5%+0.9%

Interaction with other drugs is unknown. It is advisable to consult doctor before use.

Side Effects of Eyedew 0.5%+0.9%

Common side effects: Eyedew may be temporarily blurred when this product is first used.Rare side effects: Also minor and temporary burning may occur.

Use During Pregnancy and Lactation

Pregnancy: There are no adequate and well controlled studies in pregnant women. Carboxymethylcellusole Sodium and Glycerin should be used in pregnancy only if the potential benefit justifies the potential risk to the fetus.Lactation: Carboxymethylcellulose Sodium or Glycerin has not been measured in human milk. Caution should be exercised when the combination of Carboxymethylcellulose Sodium and Glycerin is administered to a nursing mother.

Precautions And Warnings for Eyedew 0.5%+0.9%

Consult a doctor if irritation, eye pain or visual changes worsen or persist beyond 72 hours.
